This scope mount has a special mount that is made to fit Ruger bases as found on the Ranch Rifles and various other Ruger rifles. Attaches directly to the Ruger factory scope mount grooves that are milled on the top of most of their rifles. Note that some older versions of the above mentioned rifles do not have the Ruger factory scope mount bases milled on the top and thus will not be compatible with this mount.
